Light Tan and Cream Seersucker Suit

We're sorry, this item is not available.
The real McCoy—authentic seersucker, puckered and perfect— is distinctively different from its cheap imitators. Ever since the original cotton fabric found its name in English from the Hindustani, which in turn was a derivation of the Persian words “shir o shekar”, translated as “milk and sugar” (probably from its resemblance to the smooth texture of milk and bumpy texture of sugar), true seersucker has been distinguished by its wrinkled appearance, caused by a weave that bunches threads together. This weave results in the fabric sitting away from the body, allowing for better air circulation, and dissipation of heat, and the lack of necessity to press the fabric, regardless of humidity. Seersucker has always been a mainstay of southern gentlemen. In this context, we have created a two-button suit that is cut in classic American style, with a center vent, double pipe and flap lower pockets, a tailored but easy to wear silhouette, and forward pleat pants. We went to the renowned Solbiati mill in Italy to produce a muted light tan and cream stripe, which embodies the tradition and comfort of the highest quality seersucker.
